Circumcision In Bangalore

Circumcision is a surgery in which the foreskin of the penis is removed. It is done for various reasons. They are narrowing of the skin of the penis where it cannot be retracted. This condition is called phimosis. Another reason why this surgery is done is for repeated infection of the foreskin. This condition is called balanoposthitis and is commonly seen in patients with diabetes. However, the most common indication for circumcision is religious as in Muslims and Jews, and cultural as is followed in North America. Other less common reasons to do circumcision are cancer involving the foreskin and viral warts of the foreskin.

Note: The stitches in conventional and laser circumcision are dissolvable. There is no need to remove them.

In the clamp technique, instead of stitches, staples are used. They dissolve by themselves.

After conventional circumcision, a majority of the patients need 1 or 2 pain killer tablets.

Cosmetic results do not vary much in any method.

In our hospital, we do all three types of circumcision. The patient can opt for any of them.

Laser and clamp methods are more expensive because of the additional equipment needed.
